„I had birds on my mind but stones on my soles,
...............................................so I picked up my guitar for rock'n'roll.“

Black Night Crash are a band from Bremen, Germany dedicated to playing loud and dirty guitar-rock.

The musicians named their band "Black Night Crash" after having discovered a song by Ride bearing the same title and a bootleg copy by Bob Dylan, namely "Electric Black Night Crash". Since they got together in 2005 they have been ignoring the prevailing trends. They rather pay homage to the "roots", the fuzzy and scratchy seventies' guitar-sound which they refine with their own charm, transporting it into the here and now – althogh lately their tunes might even include a few footnotes to the late sixties.BNC mix their songs wildly and skillfuly; now a Beatles-like harmony, then a rough tune like The Who, rock-steady-guitars reminding of Status Quo, but also complex compositions like Pink Floyd – from a contemporary point of view – the genre where bands like The Soundtrack of our Lives or Wolfmother are to be found.

It is a rather creative brew, resulting from the fact that BNC have three songwriters and singers of whom everyone has a distinct musical background and preference. Due to their diversified influences BNC create their own band-specific sound. Retro-rock could be the etiquette for this style, others call it analogue-rock, or maybe brit- or vintage-rock; in any case it is pure rock-music.

In 2008 the band won "Live in Bremen" a Northern Germany bandcontest which has taken place annually for the last ten years. The award included money for an album-production and an invitation to the "Mathew Street Festival" in Liverpool, the capital of beat music where BNC successfully performed two gigs and had a recording-session in Liveroopl's "Elevator Studios".

Now, after almost one year of studio-work, BNC present their debut-album "The late Reply". It was recorded using analogue equipment only at "Hörwerk" studio by Dennis Rux (Trashmonkeys) and mastered by Tino Oac (Söhne Mannheims). The thirteen songs depict the broad variety of styles of the bands mentioned above, revealing the stylistic range Black Night Crash work with in a more detailed way than their rough and raw live-performances can. (Examples: "Sudoku" & "Gone with the Geese"). In essence, this album offers a much broader spectrum of the loud and sweaty live-shows for a diverse listening pleasure at home.
